Summer 2026 workshop applications now open!
Our in-person workshop offers the opportunity to engage deeply with workshop content while connecting with fellow language educators and researchers in a collaborative setting. Georgetown's location in Washington, DC, also makes it possible to combine professional learning with time in one of the country's most vibrant and historically significant cities.
What is the registration cost?
Registration for the TBLT program is $300. We are excited to offer a special discount (original value of $1,500) for summer 2026 programming. Registration fees are paid upon acceptance notifications via Eventbrite.
What's included in the registration fee?
Registration includes five full day workshops (9am - 3pm) tailored to the needs of registered participants. Lunch is included daily as part of registration. Workbooks, pens, and other basic supplies are provided. Half-day excursion to Planet Word is included as well.

Where will the workshop take place?
GWLP workshops are hosted in the Linguistics Department in Poulton Hall, 1421 37th St NW, Washington, DC 20007.
Is housing included?
Housing is not included. If you are not sure where to stay or want advice on lodging and local transit options, contact our team at gwlp@georgetown.edu.
Are meals included?
Lunch will be provided daily during the workshop. Our team will provide info on dining options for all other meals which will be at your own expense.
Who is eligible?
Language professionals, K-12 world language teachers, English teachers, university language instructors, teacher educators, language program or school administrators, graduate students, and researchers are eligible to attend. We welcome both US-based and international participants.
Will there be future workshops on other topics?
Yes! We plan to offer future workshops on topics related to evaluation and assessment. Check this page regularly for updates or follow us on Instagram.
